My fellow Steemians

It was an exciting week!

First was the announcement of me being chosen for another round as Steem Representative. It is wonderful to know that you are trusted with such a big task. Thank you!

Then there was the fish episode. I caught a bigger fish than my husband on Sunday! I am still enjoying the moment.
What I can tell you is that the look on his face when he returned home yesterday was priceless! Let me give him credit; we had some nice fish for supper last night.

Steem For Ladies

All is back to normal. What is nice is that we are still maintaining over 200 active posts.

My duties:

1. Curation and verification of posts on my day of duty as well as filling in on the days of others
2. Educating and monitoring 6 moderators
3. Validating MOD verifications
4. Verifying new members
5. Booming posts submissions and community voting
6. Taking care of community notifications and comments
7. Writing of 3 community posts
8. Monitoring and running of community contests
9. Lending a helping hand to members of the community
10. Approval of moderator contests

General:

Support via WhatsApp and Discord was busy this week. Eleven Steemians received help. What is interesting is that someone completely new to Steemit joined a Discord server, which he found on the Internet. He then found my Discord profile and came knocking for help. What would we have done without the internet?

Africa:

Supporting and helping my fellow Steemians from Africa is still a priority for me.

Communities

Advice were given to two communities.

Curator

One curator was helped this week.

Issues encountered:

After the waves that were made in the week about the nomination of winners for the Steemit Engagement Challenge, I did a test yesterday.

I took one of the communities and downloaded the community report from Steempro. One thing is certain: it is difficult to choose winners when;

1. When there are plenty of entries
2. Engagement is poor
3. The rules of the contest are not followed. For example, the contest post is not resteemed and wrong tags were used
4. The winner criteria is not met: 10 upvotes and 5 valid comments
5. The post is not topic related

Steemians, you cannot expect to win if you don’t check ALL the boxes! Support your fellow Steemians by voting and commenting with good-quality comments. Lastly, be respectful enough and return the vote and the comment.
