Weekly Report as Steem Representative, 24 – 30 March 2023

Greetings!

This post brings me to the end of my first week as Steem Representative.

I hope that I will prove to you in the coming weeks that I am showing a long term commitment to the Steemit ecosystem, that I will be broadening my knowledge, being actively engaged within communities and beyond, that I will be lending a helping hand to my fellow Steemians, and lastly that I will promote and support Steemit with new projects and initiatives.

This week was No. #37 of this weekly contest.

Through this contest, Steemians are encouraged to put on their thinking caps, have some fun, and play the game "I spy with my little" while we all learn the English language.

As part of creating awareness for the Steem for Ladies community, I hosted a contest to boost the Daily Dynamic Program that was launched in this community.

The contest focused on the Monday program of health and came to a end earlier this week.

Steem For Ladies

I was asked if I would assist the Steem for Ladies Community to help them get off the ground. I joined them as an advisor but in the last week, I joined as an admin as help was needed.

We have now launched a training program for lady moderators with three new ladies joining the team of which two of them never had the opportunity to be moderators.

This week I introduced a moderator guideline to help them not to be lost in the world of moderators and a program that will also steer them into the world of curators.

Support of fellow Steemians

I've spent a lot of time on the platform in the last week looking at posts, comments, contests, and contest results.
In the process, I have reached out to numerous Steemians giving advice and helping them.

As this is my biggest desire to help others I will put more of my efforts into doing this going forward.

Issues encountered

The biggest issue I've encountered was regarding booming votes. I don't think that Steemians are aware of the fact that booming votes are limited to 2-3 per user in a period of one week across the platform and not only per specific community.

I want to encourage the various communities to inform their members accordingly. This can only help to stop Steemians jumping from one community to the next trying to get booming votes with short and rushed posts which I have seen so much of lately.
