An afternoon nap, or siesta, is common in many mediterranean, tropical and subtropical countries where the midday is can be very warm. The word comes from the Latin word 'hora sexta' meaning sixth hour. Daytime sleeping that lasts between 15 and 90 minutes—can improve brain functions ranging from memory to focus and creativity. Dogs are already onto this...sleeping randomly throughout the day.
