My Life - Surprise Present

Just had my birthday last week and I'm proud to say "Hey, I'm 32 now!"

For 32 years of my life, people come and go. I got happy, I got sad, I got angry, I got frustrated, I got bitter... but always... there is this group of people who will always stand by me and never gave up on me.

Hence, here's something funny yet practical that I would like to share with all of you today. You know how it felt every year when you had to look for a birthday gift for a friend or family member? Here's what a friend of mine did. She baked a chocolate cake for me on that day (delicious! too bad I don't have the picture of it.) and she gave me this:

Yup! A Fly Swatter!

Can anyone guess what's the use of this item?
Besides being used as a defence tool against Mr. Fly, it is a great back scratcher too!

Kidding... But well, yea... I do use it to scratch my back as well.. Shhh...

Tadaa!!!!

My very considerate friend has attached a little plastic pouch for me to put my Touch n Go card in it. Yes, you are right. I'm using it like this...

Those who knew me and seen me driving car particularly when I have to use the toll or the parking in the shopping mall, they knew what's my challenge is.

My hand is too short to scan the card!

So, ok... it's easy, isn't it? How to choose a present when you don't know what to buy...

1. Buy something practical that they will use. Just like mine. "My swatter". For guys, unless you knew they have certain hobby or collections that they die die need to get, you can consider buying them something practical that they will definitely 100% sure "will use". And I don't mean tissue paper or toilet roll...
2. Like @melissasum, she knew I have a big family of plushies at home, and she brought me another 2 more to add in. Not to mention they (the two plushies) look similar to the one I had.

Sometimes, it is not about the value of the gift, it is the heart of the giver that matters. Don't you agree?

Well, this year, it is a year where I see more clearly about myself and the people around me. The year that I will always feel grateful for. Having the people around me especially my dear family and my friends. I'm grateful that they are alive, they are with me, and always there for me. It will never be the same without any of you.
