ABOUT # 1... MYTHOLOGY
Hello people! I hope you had a very happy and productive week.
Because nobody commented on a theme for this week's about I took the liberty of choosing it myself /. \
:::MYTHOLOGY:::
Of all the subjects I couldn't help wanting to do it about this in particular, mythology are more than simple stories or myths, they exist all over the world since ancient times.
I would dare to say that they have always existed, since the human being exists, he has tried to explain everything that happens around him, to look for an explanation with which he can live in peace, now we have the science that explains everything, but two thousand years, when science didn't was what it is now, How did they explain these phenomena?.
The sun, nature, the moon, the stars, the rain... All those events deserved an explanation
where do they come from?
Why?
In my opinion and in my beliefs, I believe that mythology arises from fear, from fear of the human being of not having the capacity to understand so many inexplicable things that happen around him, a fear so deep that it could lead to madness, for that reason for his tranquility he created divinities to explain the inexplicable.
The truth, mythology, not matter the region where it cames from, Greek, Roman, Nordic... It is something beautiful, it represents the beliefs of a people, their greatest hopes and above all their faith.
I have always had in mind that what move a person is their faith, what motivates them and what drives them. To me, mythology has that effect, it's something great that deserves to be known and admired.
I would like to share with you this little paragraph from a book of myths and legends of the world ...
"In general, the true origin of nations is lost in the darkness of time, among myths and legends the study of the events that narrate the authentic development of each country begins. Primitive man, not finding satisfactory explanations to phenomena such as life, evolution and death, he created the myth to the legend, and in this way justified what he didn't understand. "
-Jose Salvador Chávez Ferrusca- (1993)
Well, I hope, you liked this first entry and I would like you to answer the following questions.
What is your favorite mythology legend and why?
Mine is a Greek legend, that of Icaró son of Daedalus, the one who flew very close to the sun. The reason I like it is that although for others it represents arrogance and disobedience for me, it represents bravery and daring.
I will wait for your answers ^. ^ /
Sorry for be late this time :')...
