It's no news that the Portuguese has been much displeased with the way he's been treated at the Spanish club after helping them lift a third Champions League trophy in three consecutive seasons.

The Real forward had demanded for an improved contract which would see his earnings match those of Neymar (£35 million) and Messi (£50 million).

Messi has had his contract reviewed to his favor as many times as he's asked but sadly, that hasn't been the case for Cristiano as the club has refused to meet his demand since he began asking.

News making round now has it that Real Madrid are all set to sign current Spanish coach, Julen Loptegui.

Julen, who has managed clubside, Rayo Vallecano and Porto has often been vocal about his support for Messi.

In 2016, he voted the Argentine for FIFA the best award and in 2017 told news media Messi is the best in the world.

These are statements that obviously doesn't go well with Ronaldo who always sees himself as the best player in the world. This may just be the last straw, the decider for Cristiano to leave the European giants in search for a place where he'd be valued more.
