C1pro goes v11

Short of a week after I posted a review about C1pro Phase One announced yesterday the new version of their C1pro software.

Version 11 promises improvements in every regard and can be broken down in: performance, workflow and layers/masking tools:

• performance: import, adjustments and output have all been rethink to make them faster, not that v10 was a sloth by any account. More-over the engine has been rebuilt to improve on color handling (which IMHO is already superior to Lightroom.
• Workflow: one can add annotations and graphics on top of your image as overlays, and export them as separate layers in a PSD file; crops can be added as a 'Path' when exporting to a PSD file, so you don't lose any pixels if you transfer out to Photoshop.
• Layers: Capture One 11 is a 'layer centric application.' All of the program's adjustment tools are now compatible with layers and masking tools have been improved to refine and feather masks after drawing. Layers can now also have transparency.

Every end of november Phase One adds an update to their C1pro, it's like clockwork. That said, this could not be more timely for me as I just installed v10. Normally v10 will be discounted for a little while. Not sure what I will do: v10 discounted or v11. I think I will download v11 and decide from theere...
