The David Crowder Band is a great Christian Rock group that began in the mid-1990s and disbanded in 2012. The band began in the American South on a Christian university campus similar to Switchfoot and made a splash on the music scene as Alternative Rock and Grunge from both secular and Christian bands was taking off in earnest.

The David Crowder Band began during the heydey of Christian Rock/Grunge in 1995 as bands including Switchfoot, DC Talk and The Newsboys were forming and performing. At the time, Christian music was being popularized and many bands were incorporating Grunge/Alternative Rock into their style similar to secular Grunge bands including Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots.

The David Crowder Band broke into the mainstream in 2005 with their song "Turkish Delight" which was incorporated into the Chronicles of Narnia film soundtrack. The band experimented with various novel sound and production equipment and used electric equipment including electric violins in his music similar to the band Yellowcard. I love the eclectic sound and it mixes well with songs from The Newsboys and DC Talk. The David Crowder Band knew how to draw a crowd, and videos of their concerts are amazing to watch.

The David Crowder Band was created with the hopes that more young people would attend church. Like many other Christian Rock bands of the time, this band made a difference and brought many to Christ while providing seed money for many other similar artists. Their sound is unique, and please give "How He Loves Us" a listen in the YouTube video above. If you like Alternative Christian Rock from the 1990s, you'll enjoy this nostalgic trip down memory lane.

My Rising Star Report 9/10/2024:

I am working on my Starbits claim amount and cadence. This necessitates me monitoring and reducing my ego score. As time progresses, I need to make sure to focus on music lessons even though it is tempting to focus exclusively on Starbits yielding music missions. I know that many newer players will focus on missions and game progression, but it's important to mix in some music lessons to get experience and reduce the ego score.

The Saturday Headliner mission is still the best option for me at this time, and it's essential I mix my claims with piano and voice lessons. Once again, reducing the ego score is essential to gameplay in Rising Star. Even though you won't earn any Starbits from lessons, you will get experience and you will see a payout eventually from the reduction in ego score.

Have a great evening and game on 🎮🕹️🏆
