Photo Of The Week #197 🛩️

Here is a birds eye view of Kwaalinatu. Believe it or not I didn’t just make up this name. It is in Africa, Tanzania as a country. It is on the island of Zanzibar to be precise. It is right where Magereza Hall is. They sell cocktails there.

I captured this from a lightweight aircraft. One of those that take you pretty much anywhere in Africa. They are safer and quicker than being on the roads. The birds eye views are a bonus.

"safer and quicker than being on the roads."

Why is that?

Roads are still being built, they barely exist even in the cities, same for rules e.g. they'll attempt to overtake you from both sides, etc. The vehicles are quite old as in vehicles that aren’t legally allowed to be driven anymore elsewhere, not environmentally friendly at all. The very hot weather doesn’t help either so you may end up stuck the side of the road and have to wait for help overnight. The big wild animals also appear on the roads. Also we, the foreigners, are unfortunately still seen as a bag of money on two legs so the less people you deal with the quicker and hopefully hassle free whilst you get from A to B.

Wow...that's really interesting...and exciting. And you paid to go there? haha
