Thank you for verifying my first two achievements! So far I have really enjoyed my time here on Steemit and want to carry on learning about the platform.

Objective:

The objective of this Achievement task is to teach newcomers to honour the existing Steemit content etiquette, about the " Proof of brain" concept, which encourages you to come up with your own posts and discourages copying directly from others, especially without crediting them as a source.
This task also outlines how to create quality content for the platform and how to share it.

Bloggers can post anything to their posts the want, including quotes, pictures, poems....etc from a third party source but they have to credit the original source appropriately.

"Fly like a butterfly, sting like a bee" - Muhammad Ali

You can find the protocol for the "proof of brain concept" here: https://steem.com/steem-bluepaper.pdf

Basically, since Steemit rewards you for your content with tokens, you should also use your own brain in order to come up with your content.
Sometimes it is necessary to use other pictures or text for your content, that is ok as long as you don't pretent that this was your own work.

Wrong: I took this picture of a cute seal

Correct: I want to talk about seals today. Picture source: https://images.app.goo.gl/r6h8JBAR3udHr1vi7

Another example of correct quotation:

It's true--I do write a lot. In the month of September alone, I published 51 stories here on Medium. Down from my usual 60+, but still a shit-ton of writing.< source: https://medium.com/the-post-grad-survival-guide/how-i-write-and-publish-so-damn-much-d264fb2a8f1e

What is Plagiarism?

I hope this post is suitable to verify me for the next achievement and if not I am looking forward to receive corrections on it.

Disclaimer: I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette and will do my best to embrace it.
