Everything will be good in the end. If it's not good, it's not the end.
There's so much desparation, fear and uncertainty out there right now, let me spread a few words of confidence.
The last days have been hard, as everyone was hoping for and working on a good terms solution. For a few of us it has been clear after the first words from Justin that this may very well not work out though.
His most recent action, basically buying witnesses that follow his ideas and rallying for support in corners of the community that don't understand the inner workings and always only cared about their own profits (I knew you, @exyle - but that's unexpectedly low even from you), throws these hopes over board completely.
But, in my opinion this is the cataclyst for something new and better. For my part, I am not willing to work on a project with sun any more. And I know many here feel the same. There have been various examples of chains forking in the past of crypto, and this time it will be a real community going its own way. Not completely united, but the people building and working and making this place what it really is besides a money making scheme know where they stand. I even have seen faces return I would have never expected to come or even look back. We're stronger than ever, we're finally free of the shackles of our past, and the future is bright.
This does not mean to stop what we are doing. Let's keep showing strength, and that puppet witnesses are nothing this community appreciates!
Steem (or under whatever name we shall be known) on!
I hate to say that I'm one of those look-back faces. My brother @kommienezuspadt was telling me what was going on. I had to dig up the old keys, power up what I had, and vote! Good to see ya, @pharesim
Welcome back! =)
I consider forking away to be equivalent to giving up.
I'm not here to fight wars. A battle once in a while, but before I dig into trenches I move on.
I'm not here to fight wars either. Did you see my post today? I'd prefer to be doing things like that, and succeeding. This environment I've been working in, for nearly the entire time I've been here, isn't exactly the place someone like me should be in. Today, I put on those entertainer shoes and tried my hand at some humor. Who really feels like laughing though? And why should I expect anyone to pay attention?
I still want to be here doing what I do though. I enjoy it. Even all the art I've produced over the years. All the hours that went into that is what basically kept me alive.
Watched the video with the witnesses, outcome was a bit progressive but after reading sun recent post.. I gave up. Disappointing.
Absolutely agree.
I am glad Justin Sun put the latest post out. It removed the last bit of doubt that I had that he is a professional. A person who write a post like that asking to a community for support, is just a THUG!
I think we are actually treating him too nicely!
Well sr. We are here try to support the community.
It seems like you are also a fan of laser sailing
Before we see something new and better, there's probably still a very long and hard battle for survival and/or discussions on how to apply lessons learned these 4 years.
But I think this community is worth it.
