[Features request] An option to separate the videos and photos in the gallery

Hi. This article is about requesting a features to Camera Roll - Gallery.

Overview

I've been using this application in awhile already. This because, the application is very simple to use and one thing is, this application is not just about being simple but has also a beautiful material design. This application is among the best open source gallery application in the Android Play Store right now.

Suggestion

My features request to the application is to add an option where it allows the separation of videos and photos files. Direct to say, an option that can toggle to just show videos or just show photos only.

Importance

In my own point, I am requesting this features because I had difficulties locating some of the videos as it has been scramble with many of the photos I have stored in my device memory.

Now, this features asked, is very important, I think, because if a user has many videos and photos stored in their device in different folder, those user will likely end up like me to find difficulties locating specific videos or photos.

Locating any specific files is difficult because the folders of videos and photos was been shown together in the Gallery. if a user had many photos and videos available, this will takes time finding a file unless both videos and photos was shown differently.

Conclusion

As I said, if the photos and videos has an option to be separated in viewing them, this will help user to locate identify directly videos and photos from each other. As the fact that there are some videos and photos that are stored in the same folder.

Direct to say, if the user wanted to locate videos, then he or she has an option to show just videos file only other than showing videos and photos together which make it difficult finding specific files.
