Landscape Photography: lush tropical jungle around Tulum Ruins

Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!

I have already published a few posts about the Mexican town of Tulum and its famous ancient Mayan ruins here on my blog but recently, when browsing through my photo archives, I stumbled upon this shot that is also from this place.

Honestly, I don´t remember where exactly I took this picture from but it looks like I was off the official trail at the moment of taking it. Usually, there are two things that visitors of the Tulum Ruins focus their cameras on. It´s the ancient ruins themselves and it´s the incredibly clear and turquoise Caribbean Sea just underneath the cliffs where the ruins are located. That is also where the tourist trail leads.

Let me give you two examples so that you have a better idea of what I am talking about.

As you can see, the first photo with the lush tropical vegetation looks like it was taken at a completely different place than the following two but there are actually parts of the ruins emerging from behind the palm leaves in the distance so I am pretty sure it was also taken in Tulum.

When I was living in Mexico, Tulum was actually not among my favorite places because it was very touristy, usually crowded with visitors as well as annoying local vendors but now I see there might be some parts of the site that I would enjoy to explore :) Hopefully next time.
