Original Photography: Copenhagen Duck
It's a photo of a duck. So what, you may think?
Actually, photography is about 'seeing' more than it is about any particular subject. To be a (good) photographer, you should be able to see, and be interested in the mundane more than the spectacular.
This is because the spectacular is not present, unless you are a 24/7 war photographer, but also because if you are given assignments as a photographer, some of those jobs are not going to be interesting to you.
But you are a Photographer! You know that a good photo is made from a tonne of factors. The light, the angle, the juxtaposition, the colors, the expression, the timing - all of that and more has to come together for a perfect photo. No matter your subject!
So taking a good photo of something mundane, or something you walk by every day, is 'seeing' - it is the very reason one can charge money as a photographer, and it is definately worth the excersise. Quack, quack! Canon 5D II with 70-200mm 2.8L IS II.

Meget smukt fotografi, det er tydeligt at du ved hvad du laver, pro til fingerspidserne ... fra en glad amatør ...
Mange tak :-)
Love it and I absolutely couldn't agree more! I find a lot of joy at seeing the beauty in all the simple things around me - I love your duck and the essence you caught in this moment - as he dries his wings and re-settles himself. Beautiful! I'll definitely be following!
I think this is what characterises a good photographer - amateur or pro. Never to forget to observe, to interpret and to facilitate our vision. Thank you for following :-)
Yes!!! And absolutely - I look forward to seeing more :)
that's a good looking duck
You have a good taste in ducks!
Nice shot.
