Sheep Taken By Dogs

Yesterday we awoke to dead sheep they had been hunted by wild dogs. 10 dead sheep throats ripped out. Most about to lamb the rest we were about to eat.

As I walked down to see what had happen I stumbled upon the dogs. 3 ran away but the 4th dog sat and watched me for abit before taking off.

I cried all day yesterday just so distressed as the pointless loss of life and just not being able to do anything. We got an experienced hunter out yesterday to give us some advise. They have set up a den it seems in the next door neighbours property. Not sure what we will be able to do but we are going to try and kill them off so they don't come back.

I have 8 sheep left and they are all pretty traumatised and for the first time ever I am needing to pen them at night.

Farming is a sad affair sometimes and yesterday was a horrible day in our farming adventure.
