Falcon Heavy rocket successfully launched by SpaceX

After many months of anticipation, SpaceX finally launches Falcon Heavy rocket on Tuesday. There has been some delays due to weather and few other reasons but now for the first time SpaceX blasted the massive rocket to begin an extended orbit around the Sun.

This is merely a test launch as Falcon Heavy wasn’t carrying any commercial payload. It carried Elon Musk’s Tesla Roadster strapped to the rocket which will run for nearly a billion years. Earlier in January, SpaceX did few test fires for Falcon Heavy to ensure proper launch by firing up all 27 Merlin engines.

SpaceX's managed a live stream for this launch which was ended just when it was approaching to land on a drone ship in the Atlantic so the fate of this rocket is yet unknown.
