Can We Still Have Hope Given The Scope Of The Situation In Nigeria?

in Steem4Nigeria2 years ago

The nation of Nigeria's future in terms of peace, unity, progress, and continued existence is very poorly portended by the storm of socioeconomic and political turmoil that is currently sweeping the country.

Regardless of the abundance of resources and strengths the country possesses, even the most thoughtless person would be shocked by the amount of resources that have been wasted by the ruling system throughout the course of the previous and current years.

Without prompt government action, not only will it be challenging for the country to survive in the long run, but it could also experience a gradual, protracted, and disastrous decline. Since the ruling system that controls all levels of government has essentially destroyed the nation, there is little chance for its economic revival.

The Scope Of The Situation

The social compact's fundamental obligation for the government to uphold is to safeguard the lives and property of the people. This is a result of government failure.

First and foremost, due to their extreme corruption and criminal behavior, the military forces of the government are no longer able to fulfill their historical duty of safeguarding the government. How much can we ensure our protection if they can't even defend the ruling class or the government?

The currency has lost a significant amount of value as a result of wealth generation without equal development, debt slavery, wealthy elite displaying their wealth in the face of widespread poverty, ongoing petroleum product imports, and the undermining of domestic labor in the refining of petroleum products. When what has to be done is put on the back burner in favor of more sophisticated kinds of self-interest, it is embarrassing for the entire country.

A consumer good like a car or an electronic device that will normally wear out and lose value over time will only experience the opposite, which is an increase in value, in a failed nation and economy. Cars purchased for 5M naira are now being sold for 7M-8M naira.

A botched leadership attempt makes things worse. As of right now, the country is described as having an adversarial sovereignty and no national government. It is a country where the rulers like lying.

Only Hope Remains.

There is a possibility that our luck won't be as good this time. Now is the time to act, and you should act swiftly to stop it from entirely collapsing.

I am unable to predict whether the situation will improve or deteriorate in the near future given the current circumstances. However, if a new president is chosen who has aspirational objectives for the nation, changes could occur. However, we can only hope; there is no assurance in that.

If Nigeria makes investments in its infrastructure, enhances security, education, and citizen empowerment, boosts commerce, transportation, and employment, and supports citizen productivity, I think the country will become more competitive and productive in the future. Despite its present situation, Nigeria has the capacity to get better.
