There are moments in life where you just want to run away towards something that will brighten your day! This morning I looked outside and got the shivers because of the gray sky, the rain and the sadness of seeing cars standing in line, because they all want to go to the inner city!
I want to wake up with a Sun rising to the sky, humans laughing instead of shouting, birds singing instead of hiding!

So, I made myself some coffee and slithered my way into my super craft room. Yes, super messy but a room at least! While closing my eyes my mind drifted off to the sunny lands of Africa. Majestic giraffes crossing the fields..... Slowly, I started to dip my brushes into the paint and I created the perfect view for my morning! 

I love creating these paintings and I keep them all in a secret place unless I sell them! Honestly, I find it really hard to say good bye to most of my work. It's a struggle.... A real struggle because I like them so much and I put a lot of myself in them. On the other hand, knowing that someone else is enjoying my painted dream moment is marvelous as well.
I am blessed to know that some of my work is hanging across the world because of the world-wide web these days. 

One day, I hope to start traveling the world again to see the paintings I created for real. How marvelous would it be to see these majestic giraffes in their own habitat? I have seen some in a zoo but for me that is not the same. It's not that I am against a zoo, because they also do a lot of good for the animals but I just rather see them walking in freedom! 

Here are the progress pictures of my morning dream! 

For this painting I used acrylic paint and special paper.
I used white, yellow, orange, red and black! 

Starting with some white to make sure the colors will light up to create the Sunset feeling I was looking for in this painting.

Toying around with a light yellow.... Really it's just creating a mess in a structured kind of way! I mean, do we not all love to make a mess at times?

After adding orange and red I had to take a little break to let the paint dry! COFFEE and COOKIES! Yes, that was my breakfast! 

I used a pencil to draw the giraffes on the painting! You can also use chalk because you can wipe that away from a acrylic painting.... BUT... The pencil was the first I could put my fingers around! 

BLACK.... I love how a painting comes to live by using the darkest color in your palet! 

I painted two, yupp two happy trees today because I was feel bold! :D
I can't help it, trees make me happy and I am starting to wonder if Bob Ross left some of his DNA somewhere in mine? ... Hmmmmm
