The unexpected visit II
Blessing's stay with her family was short. It was always like that because she had to return to work which was in another state.
So she barely had enough time to get over the strain of the rigorous vigil.
As she traveled back, she wished she didn't have to go to work the next day. She didn't know however that another surprise visit awaits.
Everyone in the house welcomed her back as usual, then she got a call from work. Orders from above had insisted that she resumed for night duty again the following day instead of day duty.
Blessing was perplexed at first, she was angry that she would have to work another night shift but then it was a blessing in disguise she thought, as that meant she could sleep well till the following afternoon.
The following day came and it felt wonderful not to rush out of bed by 5 am. Blessing slept on....
Hannah came towards noon to check on her, Hannah was usually bored as she was often home alone. So she was pleased that she had company for few hours. Landlady however interrupted their tete a tete and sent Hannah on errands. Blessing remained in her room , she went back to sleep.

Few minutes after she went back to sleep, Blessing heard a loud noise..jumping out of her bed and outside her room she rushed down the stairs...
Landlady was lying on the floor , obviously she must have been attacked.
Hannah arrived almost at the same time, she had locked the gate from outside as she usually did because it took ages for anyone to answer the bell. What then happened? Why was landlady on the floor? Who attacked her?
"mummy, what happened? helping her up Blessing asked.
Struggling to her feet she screamed " robbers!! Thieves!!! they were in the house and we didnt know"
Blessing was amazed, the house was big truly but how did thieves enter the house, climb the stairs and no one knew? Besides, the gate was locked from outside, how did they get in ? Moses was out , Hannah was too.
Blessing concluded that she must have slept deeply.
Landlady had come out of her room and ran into the thieves . They must have been shocked because landlady hardly stepped out of her room... In a bid to escape they dragged her and pushed her down.
They couldn't leave anymore with the huge inverter which they had disconnected. This supplied power to the house when power failed, but they left with other valuables.
Surprisingly , they hadn't entered Blessing's room. Blessing panicked a bit, would landlady suspect her?
Immediately, landlady made a call to the estate police a bit exaggerating what had really happened.
The police rushed down and began to investigate...asking everyone questions..
The police concluded that the culprits were criminals who knew everyone in the house and movements. They must have thought Blessing wasn't home either, jumped the fence in and out.

As the police left, Hannah and Blessing cleaned up the mess and landlady planned to visit the hospital. But surprisingly, landlady started making another call. It was to the man of God.
Blessing and Hannah were amazed and annoyed. What had the man of God got to do with a local robbery?
Blessing was more annoyed when landlady announced that everyone had to attend another vigil that Friday. She decided she wouldn't be a victim the second time.
