WHEN SICK GO TO THE HOSPITAL QUICK (AIR-CLINIC CONTEST)
Aunty P is my friend, something really bad happened to her because she was ill and didn't go to the hospital quick.
Here is her story..
Aunty P fell ill some months back, she was ill for a very long time, she would act fine today but weak the following day, she just wasn't her normal self. Considering the fact that her first child was already 4 , I and a lot of people thought she was pregnant.
I even teased her a lot about this, because she was spitting saliva at some points, but she kept on saying she was not pregnant. She said it was typhoid. Days passed but aunty P didn't get better, she became bedridden. I started getting worried so I insisted on escorting her to the nearest hospital. It was then she told me what had really happened...
Aunty P and her husband had been lying to me and everyone. Aunty P had been 3 months pregnant but she didn't know. According to her, she was seeing her period and she felt no difference or changes in her body. So when she fell ill, (morning sickness I suppose) instead of going to the hospital she started using malaria drugs she got from the chemist. When that didn't work, she switched to typhoid drugs. She even used herbs brought by her mother. Aunty P didn't know what she had done until she started bleeding.
In pains she was rushed to a nearby hospital who directed her to a laboratory. There she had a scan and was later told at the hospital that she had, had an incomplete abortion, aunty P said she was amazed and sad . She didn't know she had been pregnant, she eventually had to have a total abortion as the baby couldn't be saved.
Now aunty P scolds anyone who complains about not having money to go the hospital quick when sick.

Thanks @stephenpaul
I knew it. I just knew it. You and your ways enh. Really nice story with so much to learn ad always. Self medication is so bad and worse that it could lead to loss of life, damage to the body and give you sickness you didn't even have before. Going to the clinic to know what the problem is makes so much sense. Many don't like going because they are not sure how much they will be billed or due to fear. Whatever the case, go first and know what the problem is. One step at a time. I admire the way you gave this story. Impressive.
Yes...you are right
Thanks my good friend
😊😊😊 anytime bestie.
So sorry for your Aunt P's loss of a baby. Living in rural areas sometimes have difficulty in getting to a hospital quickly and there may be issues with little or no money. It is good advice to get medical attention quickly but sometimes there are obstacles.
Yes @cecicastor
Aunty P and her husband are not so financially okay, it was why she couldnt go early. No money.
Thank you for your contribution my wonderful friend..
This is a great but sad story... Self medication is just too dangerous
Yes dear, the sad thing is she wanted a second baby she has been trying for long...
Thanks for your contribution
As this matter is concern, i may or not blame her for this because her menstrual period deceived her not knowing she has conceived. And as for the persistency of the illness, she supposed to have visited the nearest clinic. Thank you for sharing @ponmile
Thanks dear @misterufem
