Some time ago, we carried out a social campaign action. This social campaign action coincided with the commemoration of World Youth Day and to Welcome World Humanitarian Day. The two momentums are very appropriate and sacred moments to carry out social campaign actions.

This social campaign is also an activity to distribute environmentally friendly STEEM Shopping Bags. Before carrying out the campaign action, we had a meeting a few days before. On the same day we also contacted a number of volunteers and teams to coordinate and develop the campaign concept.

We have discussions and exchange ideas to take wise action. The entire team and volunteers are very enthusiastic and have high enthusiasm for this campaign activity. We do follow up and briefing, this is to help their respective tasks during the campaign action.

This campaign has the theme "Reducing the Use of Single-use Plastic Bags". The campaign was carried out successfully in downtown Lhokseumawe. In this campaign we also distribute environmentally friendly Steem Shopping Bags.

As we know that plastic waste is a big problem all over the world. Due to the mass production of a number of plastic manufacturing factories causing pollutants in the oceans. Plastic waste is the biggest pollutant that fills the oceans.

For example, in Haiti and Bali. Nearly tens of pounds of plastic waste are collected from the oceans. The dominant plastic waste consists of plastic bags, bottled drinks and sachet food products.

Surprising data are also published by 4ocean through their official website. People in the world produce more than hundreds of tons of plastic waste every day. The largest contributor of waste to spread throughout the waters, shorelines and oceans.

If this continues, then this beautiful earth will be polluted and filled with garbage. What's more, plastic waste is very difficult to be decomposed by microorganisms. Plastic waste will damage the ocean ecosystem.

So, the need for action to balance the amount of production with use. Residents are the main target of product marketing. Citizens who are not educated about the adverse effects of usage, will certainly consume products with high capacity.

Therefore, it is very important to educate the public about the bad effects of plastic waste. With this campaign, we will give them education and awareness to control the use of single-use plastic. A small and simple step is to bring eco-friendly shopping bags.

One of the characteristics of the environmentally friendly concept is that these products can be used repeatedly and are able to balance the needs. We distribute eco-friendly shopping bags to residents for free. This shopping bag has been fully funded by Steem.

This shopping bag is made of a type of fabric that can be used repeatedly. Besides being practical, this bag is also able to accommodate loads of up to 5 kilograms more. The distribution of this shopping bag took place in the Riyadhah Park Traffic Line Area.

The distribution that took place in the city center received a response and attention from the residents. We distribute eco-friendly shopping bags to use in their shopping activities. So this can support the reduction of the use of single-use plastic bags.

Our entire team also participates to make this distribution a success. We also use Banner media to promote Steem. Our team also informed the rider that this bag was funded by steemit.com.

In one round for distribution, we have about 2 minutes to show off and share this shopping bag before the green light goes on. We hope to be able to do more positive movements that can make an impact for this environment we love. Hopefully there will be less awareness to reduce the use of plastic bags.
