The Invention of Lying, Human Ethics & The Fake News Culture - A Deeper Look

in #life7 years ago

It seems we're being told lies and half truths everywhere we turn.

If "The Invention of Lying" tells the fabled story of the first man to discover the power of a lie, it seems we're entering a new era of "information consumerism" with the fake news epidemic.

Is lying endemic to the human psyche, or is there some way we can move toward a more honest and ethical society?

Here are Harv's thoughts on the Fake News Culture we find ourselves in. What are yours?

Interesting article... much to think about here.

Great post! I like it :)
It's really easy to believe in a lie if it connects with our reality, with the way we think! Many people that leave religion but the feeling of looking up to something bigger, that there's a reason still within them. Those people will stop believing in God but will look for reason in other things and will go toward conspiracies or things as such.
But in the end its a matter of perspective :)
