TGIF ๐๐ , and a very warm welcome to my report. We are on the brink of another weekend and am excited. As always thank you so much for stopping by and let's proceed to see how my stepping went.
So today I continued to explore around the neighbourhood ๐ฒ here in London. Today was a sunny ๐ day just like yesterday. The breeze is still giving the cold winter mood but the warmth of the sun cancels it out nicely.
The area close to where am staying is Walworth road. So I walked around the area, today's pics are from there.
I saw a park as I passed by, so tomorrow or Sunday I will be venturing in there to get some pictures.
Unlike yesterday, today I got to check out some trending news.
Globally, Israel has intensified it's attacks on Rafa๐.
More than 100,000 Palestinians have fled Rafa headed north. In the north it isn't any better either. Israel bombed Jabaliya refugee camp in the north killing 4 people๐ฟ.
Literally, no where is safe in Gaza for civilians. Water and food shortages have become the norm.
Also trending, south Africa have taken Israel to the ICJ demanding an immediate ceasefire and withdrawal of Israeli forces.
Let's go to Europe, where Malmo in Sweden is trending as they host the Eurovision music contest.
Pro Palestinian protesters have been gathering demanding disqualification of the Israeli contestant due to the ongoing war in Gaza๐.
She was booed as she sang but she will be proceeding to the finals.
In the other war, two Ukrainians killed as Russia bombed the city of Kharkiv. President Zelensky saying reinforcement had been sent to the region.
Across the pond in the US. UN nations general assembly has backed Palestinian bid for full UN membership. The resolution passed with 143 in favour, 9 against and 25 abstentions๐.
Definitely angering Israel and Israel's biggest backer USA, who voted against. Of course Hamas have welcomed UNGA's resolution on Palestine statehood.
Let's finish up in Asia, India trending as top court freed, opposition leader, Arvind Kejriwal. He is free to campaign in the ongoing election.
Finally, floods are wreaking havoc in Afghanistan but I trust things will get back to normal soon. All's well that ends well ๐ฏ.
