Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. Happy Thanksgiving if you are celebrating🎊. I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the mall for some food, nice sunny day as I made my way. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news and some you tube. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, all eyes 👀 on Gaza as mediator Qatar says truce is set to start at 7AM on Friday. The first thirteen Israeli captives will be released at 4pm. Groups of captives will be released daily until a total of 50 are freed in four days.
Also, aid trucks expected to enter the Gaza strip via Rafa border crossing as soon as possible.
Despite, the looming ceasefire, today Israel kept up the bombings. Today a UN School was struck killing 27 people and injuring many more😭.
Also trending, Belgian and spanish
prime ministers were on a diplomatic visit to Israel meeting PM Netanyahu. Insisted that Israel must comply with international law and protect civilians.
UK foreign minister, David Cameron visited Israeli town targeted by Hamas.
Lets go to Europe where Geert Wilders victory in Netherlands election has Europe spooked 😹. Right wing nationalists across Europe rushed to congratulate the populist politician, sometimes dubbed as Dutch Trump. Let's wait and see what he does🤪.
Finally, flooding in N. Eastern Kenya has claimed dozens of lives and displaced more than 136,000 people. The same area had been experiencing severe drought a few months back. Heavy rainfall and floods in the horn of Africa is linked to the El nino weather phenomenon.Everything will be ok💯. All's well that ends well.
