LET GOD BE LORD OVER YOUR LIFE.

God as God over your life is in charge over every facet of your being. It is no longer what you want; but what He wants for you. It is no longer where you want to go; but where He has laid out for you to follow. Many claim the Lordship of Jesus over their lives; but, they struggle with Him concerning His leading for their lives: But what is the stand of the scriptures on this? –
“As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Romans 8:14).
If indeed you claim His Lordship over your life; then, you better let Him be the God that He is over your life. Apostle Peter had a divine visitation in which he fell into a trance and he saw a vessel let down from heaven with all manner of unclean animals “and there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter, kill, and eat. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean, and the voice spake unto him again the second time, what God hath cleansed, that call not thou common” (Acts 10:13-15).

You don’t argue with God: in relating with Him, there is nothing like – “Not so, Lord”. He knows the end from the beginning and He has your highest good in His Father heart. Whatsoever He says for you to do, do with great delight without grumbling. It may not be convenient; like Peter’s case, it may sound very awful, but simply do it and your testimony to God’s goodness shall resound.
When you take it upon yourself to contend with His precepts and instructions for your life; your life is set on a deficit and you just can’t amount to anything. Jesus in resigning to the will of the Father, proclaimed – “nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou wilt” Where is He today? He is set upon the highest pinnacle of heavenly glory. Such is the case, when your will gets lost in the will of God.
For God to be God over your life and for you to enjoy the dividends due you, in having Him as God over your life; He needs freedom to work and operate in your life. Until He gets that freedom, your testimony of His Lordship over your life will be impaired. When you argue with Him and you seek to go your own way with your limited insight, you do yourself a huge disfavor. Let God have the freedom He deserves as God over your life. He is the potter and we are mere clay in His hands. As clay, you have no right to question the works of His hands.
- No matter how broken and shattered you are; as He seeks to put you together again, give Him the freedom He deserves. Let Him be God and you will turn out to be a fine spectacle and a positive wonder.
