I wrote a review about season one of the tv series 13 Reasons Why three months ago. You can find the review here.

If you read the season one review or have watched the season one of this series. Then you will definitely see Hannah as an innocent girl who was unfortunate to be found among bullies but there are two questions I will be asking about the series and I will also be giving an answer to them but before I proceed with the questions let me give you a little information about the season 2.

Hannah Baker's parents filed a lawsuit against "Liberty high school" for the sudden suicide of their daughter which was caused by bullying.
Clay Jensen tried as much as possible to make Hannah's parents defeat the school in a law court and even try to meet as many students who were going to testify, to speak the truth.
But according to the students, Hannah's story isn't theirs. And her perspective of things is different from theirs.

The first witness was Tyler who had a crush on Hannah which resulted in him stalking her by taking some photos of Hannah without her consent and one of the photos he took showed Courtney Crimson kissing Hannah and the photo led to one of tremendous bully experience Hannah face in school.
In other to save herself and avoid being bullied by students in high school, Courtney made some derogatory sexual lies about Hannah in order to hide her sexuality, and eventually, she told a lie in court about what actually transpired between her and Hannah.

We got to Jessie who was also raped by Bryce Walker, Hannah's rapist. Bryce also raped his girlfriend Chloe. But both victims of Bryce rape were too emotional and scared to testify against their rape experience.
Justin, Jessie's boyfriend, and Bryce's best friend who witnessed Bryce raping his girlfriend were among the few that gave a testimony supporting Hannah Baker's character. Jessie on the other called Hannah a psychotic bitch who got jealous after she and Alex stopped hanging out with her.
There were different testimonies from students giving their views to what transpired between them and Hannah. And some made up lies to save their own skin. Clay Jensen gave testimony in favor of Hannah, his testimony did not really hold water because the school's defendant tried to discredit his testimony base on the fact he had romantic feelings for Hannah.

Now back to the two questions I want to ask

Did Hannah Deserve What She Got

In the court case, we saw a girl who testified against Hannah for bullying her in their former high school. In season one, Hannah told Clay about what transpired between her and the girl and that she feels still horrible about the incident.
When discussing this series with a friend, his words were "Karma hit Hannah really bad".
To me, I don't see Hannah's bullying at "liberty high" as a result of Karma because she admitted to what she did and felt horrible for following the crowd to bully the said girl still what she did was not right. But even a bully deserves not to be bullied.

Who Is To Be Blamed For Hannah's Death

I have read different reviews about 13 Reasons Why and some reviews talk about Hannah as being delusional and a psycho that took everything to heart, as other students were also being bullied.
In season 2 Clay started a relationship with Sky, (a female student of liberty high) who wore tattoos all over her body and she told Clay, Hannah wasn't the only and only the weak commit suicide. Her tattoos were a symbol of her pain and each suicide she could have attempted. Some persons blame Hannah for her death because of other kids who were also bullied in the school but still kept on going.

But everyone is different and we take things to heart in different ways.
A lot of persons are to be blamed for Hannah's death ranging from her bullies in school: Justin, Zach, Courtney, Jessie, Alex, and co.
But are the students really to blame?

As the series proceeds, we got to see a Zach who followed the crowd to avoid getting bullied. We saw a Justin who came from a dysfunctional family, Dad is nowhere to be found and Mum is a druggie. A Courtney who became a bully from the fear of being bullied.
And we saw Hannah's parents who act to be the most caring parents out there but were having issues, unknowingly to them that their daughter sees it all. This can be attributed to one of the reasons Hannah did not open up to them.

Hannah's school counselor, who couldn't read the signs that she was going through great emotional trauma and tried to convince her what happened between her and Bryce may not be rape.
We saw the school, Liberty high who did nothing to fight against bullying and try to cover their dirt by taking funds from Bryce Dad. Bryce Walker who raped Hannah and other girls was also a broken boy for a traumatic home but that's no excuse for being a rapist.

In all, yes Hannah Baker took her life but a lot of factors made her to and being raped was her final breaking point.

The story of Hannah is one to be told and shared. Yes, it's just a series but we have a lot of teenagers today suffering from depression and bullying even adults are not left out.
Fighting bullies off and being a hand of emotional and psychological support to others around us will go a long way.
