Burnsteem||Steem growth: A meetup with steemians in my city.
@precious123 and other steemians
Introduction
Hi guys, it's my pleasure to be here again on this platform. This is actually my first time in this community and trust me, you'll like what you'll see. Today I'm going to elaborate in details about how a recent meetup with my fellow steemians in Uyo went. Grab your popcorns while I give you the information you would love to hear.
Location of the meetup
Yesterday's meetup was simply amazing, you might all be wondering where we met. Anyways, we always meet together every saturdays at no 24 mbak road, Ifa Atai Uyo. That's where the steemit branch office is located, steemians in Uyo meet once every week to put heads together with the sole aim of helping the platform grow.
Yesterday's meetup had the following steemians in attendance:
@precious123
@okere-blessing
@yimzyemazor
@chichieze
@ijelady
@ogechukwu-martha
Newbies:
@thompson22
@vikkyharry
Emediong(yet to sign up)
Let's talk about the newbies
I was thrilled to see three new faces yesterday at our training center and they all came from far distance to gain knowledge about the platform.
@thompson22 was just so eager to know what steemit is all about, after thorough explanation and reassurance from our coach @ijelady, she was just so excited and her face beamed with smiles. She exclaimed: No more watching of movies, I've gotten a job, amazing isn't it? She was successfully signed up but she couldn't write her introduction post because of bad network, I'm sure she's on it.
mentoring @thompson22 on how to make a post
@vikkyharry who came to know about steemit from @nao3(a newbie who joined the platform a week ago) was forced to come to the training center to hear and see things for herself. After hearing about the goodness of steemit, she was like what I'm I waiting for? Please sign me up. She started off her achievement post right there and then.
Edidiong wasn't able to sign up because her mobile wasn't supportive, she was sad but promised to get a new phone before this year runs out.
Apart from mentoring the newbies, @ijelady encouraged consistency and hardwork on the platform. She encouraged everyone to make original contents, avoid plagiarism, use the right images and never forget to put the source link beneath it. She elaborated on lots of topics of which we assimilated and trust me, its more than beneficial.

The need for meetups
There's this adage that "Iron sharpens iron", when we meet regularly, we are made perfect as we make improvements on areas we need to.
We get to make new discoveries and realize new things which may be of help.
We are encourage by the presence of our fellow steemians through meetups, we know we're not alone in this when we see other committed steemians
At meetups, we put our heads together and help with grow the platform by making suggestions and bringing up meaningful ideas
Conclusion
We should never stop meeting with other people who share the same goal and interest with us besides we're trained for a better future. We should make the growth of this platform a priority by attending trainings and meeting regularly.
happy steemians
