Stories comes with moral lessons for one to learn from and I'll like to share my story.

Perfect a jovial and friendly boy who respect and carries everyone along got arrested last week without the knowledge of people. He was given a phone to reach out to people and he called me first as his friend. I discovered he was taken without the knowledge of neither is sister nor brother.

Perfect is an orphan who has struggled so much trying to make it to the top yet, it seems like everything nature is against him. Without a trace after much beatings and torture it was finally stated where the police station was at. The sister hurriedly took food to him there .

I stayed in a dark room more like a closet which you can't differentiate day and night. I urinated and passed the bowel there, it dare not make others inconvenient because even in the dark you will be beaten by the senior men there.

I knew not why I was arrested I tried declaring myself innocent. I am not guilty I screamed.

"One more word from you, you will be thrown into this ravine and buried without a trace".

I kept shut I had dreams to fulfill.

I said a little prayed and awaited my saviour.

My boss walked in to the station.
I was called out, he came with his daughter, and lawyer.

"That is the guy that raped me" the daughter said.

Her words followed with thousand slaps and thunderous blows from the lawyer. "You are an animal, a beast how could you do that?"

I was too weak to defend myself. So this is why I was beaten and arrested. My lips shaked, I became a stammerer as I tried to tell the truth.

"How could she do this? I cried to God for an intervention".

Back to what happened
We leave on the same street where I work for my boss as an attendant. The children always greet me and I do well to reciprocate. They range from age sixteen, ten and seven respectively. Two girls, and a boy. On that fateful day, I was passing. They greeted me and begged me to use my phone and switch on light for them as it was dark and they were unable to see and drink water. I did that, without hesitation and left it's good to be good you know, but this is what my goodness caused.

I now realized I was arrested because I was accused of rape. How his daughter came up with this I don't know but I guess it's the decision of the dad.

They were about to scrape my hair off and take me to prison when a stranger said no that he doesn't believe it but rather I should together with the man and his daughter follow him to the hospital. He came with his lawyer, took us both there, several test were conducted on the daughter and it was discovered nothing was wrong with her. I was told to be released instantly and not taken back to prison.

I thank my stars and the heavens. I could finally see the light after staying in a dark room for two weeks for false accusation. I am glad I'll be going back home but I was made to sign an undertaking statement that I'll never tell anyone what happened. I am glad I'm going home who cares about what you all say. I decided to research and I found out the innocent ones are captured and kept to pay for the sins of the guilty and influential people.

"I have learnt my lessons and I doubt I will trust anyone ever again. There are lots of innocent people in that custody who can't tell day from night and will probably rot there because they have no one."He said to me

I shed a tear you know, he had to go through this life has been so unfair to him he is always accused of one thing or the other but before being pronounce guilty, he has been inflicted with pains and I sit to wonder when will this injustice end? Is it because he has no influential person in power or was it a crime to lose both parents, yet remain humble, hardworking and still tortured for being good?

We can do better, the society can be better by going in there and bailing some individuals out there could be innocent but kept to be punished for the sin of others. When will this injustice end? I am so sick of it.
