What you resteem reflects the quality of your judgement, interest, standard and personality

The resteem button work like a share button other social media site, once you resteem a post in your feeds or from your friend's profile, it will going to be shared in your profile too, and all of your follower can see that resteemed post too. It is a good idea to resteem a post, if you want to extend or widen the reach of a post. But you should not abuse using it, because there are some consequences that is being commonly neglected, sometimes you are not aware of, or sometimes can give some bad effect on the account who always resteemed other post, because your own post will going to be dumped, overwhelmed or covered by those too many resteemed post. The tendency, your visitor, reader or follower, will have a hard time to see your own post, they need to scroll down before seeing each of your post.

Aside from that, resteeming too much post will going to spam your follower's feeds, they will see most of your resteemed post in their feeds like spamming, they might get annoyed in that, and there is a tendency that they will going to unfollow you too.

We should think twice and be careful in resteeming other's post. If you really like their post or they are deemed to be resteemed, then why not. But, if the content has a very low quality, then resteeming it will also give a bad impact on the person who resteemed that post, yes it only shows that your taste and judgement is in that standards. So we should be responsible on what we are going to resteem.
