City Lights in Kharkiv, Ukraine
Hello everyone, Happy Weekend ...
Yesterday I was counting my days living in Ukraine and I have came to know that already two years left and still I am struggling with the Russian Language. I have started learning and communicating and all I needed was a little bit of courage. I was too shy to communicate thinking that people will laugh at my pronunciation but it is taking time to come out of my shy shell and start practicing.
Days are passing so quickly and I feel like I came here yesterday and still a newbie here which is not true at all. In this post, I am going to write and will share some night pictures of Kharkiv street light which I have captured. Some are recent and some are from my gallery memory.
During the holiday season, Kharkiv city turns out colorful decorative. Streets are decorated with different light, festive look and winter vibes. These are the abstract form of Willow trees made with artificial crystal type of plastic materials. At night these trees turn out something else and feel like an enchanted forest. Only in fairy tales, you can see these types of trees.
Can you guess what is this?? Iceberg or something abstract form??? Well, this is a fountain and every year during winter this fountain turned out a huge giant Iceberg naturally. I mean obviously there is the scientific definition but this is something worth to see. Normally we all see fountains here and there but this giant thing is worth to see and the lightings.
These are the normal street elements/ decorations during the holiday season. Well, Kharkiv is not a very fancy city like other developed modern cities but people enjoy these cute things. These decorations are unique and simple.
I really like geometrical decorative abstract forms because they are unique and represent a city. People enjoy walking here and explore the city. I have seen many people spend 4-5 hours to explore these decorations.
This is one of the most famous tourist spots in Kharkiv. The name of this place is " Zerkalʹnaya struya ", really hard to pronounce, at least for me. Everyone love this location and really worth to visit.
This is the plaza area of Kharkiv Opera house and those columns represent the significance of the Opera house. I don't have proper knowledge of it but it feels good walking on this plaza.
These are maximum office buildings that's why the area is a calm and quiet but secure area. As I have mentioned that Kharkiv city is not modern at all, maximum buildings are followed soviet architecture but standing here for a long time. You will find skyscrapers rarely here like modern glass building steel structure etc. But you will have a different experience here and will see the difference between day and night.
