Classic Strawberry Mojito - Refreshing Summer Drink, Stay Hydrated...
Spring is going to end very soon and summer will be here. Though in Kharkiv, we are still having nice spring weather and I think summer will be late this year. Anyway, I went out today for some work after a long time. It was a bright lovely day but a little bit hot though.
From the past few days, I was craving some drinks, though I don't drink alcohol but I love cocktails. I don't have a proper idea of making different types of cocktails so I make or create whatever I can trick. Also, I was feeling that my body needs to be hydrated all the time. The best way to keep me healthy and hydrated is to drink enough water.
I always forget to drink enough water, my old habit though I have changed it a lot. To change this bad habit, I started drinking detox water. I mix lemon, cucumber, oranges, or any kind of solid fresh fruit like berries with water and drink. Nowadays many people drink detox water for fitness and to keep themselves healthy. Of course, you can use mint as well.
A few days ago, I came to know how to make Strawberry Mojito and Strawberry Detox Water... it's really easy simple... And I have recreated this Strawberry Mojito using simple ingredients.
Today I bought some fresh strawberries for myself and I was waiting to try this drink at home...
So, let me share the recipe...
Strawberry Mojito
All you need :
- Fresh Strawberries
- Lemon / Lime
- Mint
- Classic Mojito / Club Soda
- White Rum (optional)
- Syrup (optional)
- Ice cubes
You can use sprite instead of Mojito. You can skip white rum if you don't drink alcohol. I haven't added syrup but you can add syrup like vanilla syrup to add extra flavor.
So, Let me explain it in an easy way...
- Chilled water + strawberries + lemon + mint + White rum + syrup. ( if you skip Rum it will be detox strawberry water...)
- Sprite + strawberries + lemon + mint.
- Classic Mojito + Strawberries + lemon + mint.
- Club soda + strawberries + lemon + mint + white Rum.
I have bought Classic Mojito (non-alcohol) drink can from the super store and I think it is available everywhere just you have to check the percentage of alcohol if you are non-alcoholic. I avoided white rum because I wanted a healthy non-alcoholic drink. If you are use mojito, you don't need to use mint syrup, you can use mint leaves. You can add sugar if you want but if you add fruit syrup or vanilla syrup I don't think you need to add sugar. But you can add according to your taste...
I took 2 sliced of lemon and some sliced fresh strawberries. Then I added them with classic mojito and kept it into the freezer to let it cool. After 1 hour, I added some mint leaves and a little bit vanilla syrup and ready to drink.
My Strawberry Mojito is ready...
Strawberry Detox Water
You need :
- Fresh Strawberries
- Lemon / Lime
- Mint
- Chilled water
- Ice cubes
Take a big jar of Chilled water, put all the sliced strawberries, lemon, and mint leaves. Add ice cubes and you can drink it the whole day instead of water. It is very healthy.
Strawberry classic mojito contains calories if you add white rum. If you skip white rum then you will consume fewer calories.
On the other hand, strawberry detox water is very healthy. You will get nutrients from strawberries, lime, and mint. detox water helps to remove toxins from the body and improve skin tone. Also, it helps to reduce weight as well.
