Delhi , India - The city of Large Population

in GEMS4 years ago

Well, I used to think Dhaka is one of the largest populated cities in the world which is true. I think it's the second-largest city in the world by population. I born and brought up into Dhaka city so I have idea of the entire city. But after Visiting Delhi, my thoughts completely changed.

Still, Dhaka is the largest populated city after Osaka, Japan but I feel that the population is not less in Delhi as well.

Delhi is the capital of India and one of the largest cities in India. I was in Delhi for one month and I am going to write/ share some of my experiences with you about Delhi.

I saw both summer and winter in Delhi, summer too hot and winter cold but not like Ukraine of course. I personally felt that it's hard to find fresh air in Delhi, first of all-weather is too dry, the second air is full of Led (chemical particle). Except in the early morning it was hard for me to breathe in the entire day.

Early morning, I used to hear arti (prayer) from the temple, I think it's morning prayer. Well, in the early morning everything was normal, the air was a little bit fresh but when the clock hit 10 am, Delhi became something else. Not only the crowd of people increase but also noise pollution increases.

Well, as I have mentioned, I am from a very dense overpopulated city but I felt that the weather of Delhi is not suitable for me. I can understand it's a capital so everything will be dense more than other cities.

I have seen different types of people from different cultures. Not only temples but Delhi has some large mosque as well. So, people from different religions and cultural backgrounds all live in a same city.

One of the things I like in Delhi was food and Tea... ya Masala Tea, very tasty...

Obviously, India is very famous for food and culture...

This is Delhi Jama Masjid, one of the biggest mosques in Delhi and all Muslims gather there. Can you the Bazar in front of the mosque gate? All types of spices, Ator (Arabic fragrance) can be found there. This is not only a tourist spot but also a famous place for Muslims for prayers. Especially on Friday Prayer which we call Jumma Prayer, this area turned into a most crowded place of Delhi City...

And of course, you will see a lot of pigeons there flying here and there. I think Delhi city has more pigeons than Kharkiv city...

Delhi is divided into two-zone, Old Delhi and New Delhi. Old Delhi still crowded, dirty road, polluted air, unorganized city. In fact, I have seen cows were walking on the street like humans which were very interesting to me. Old Delhi is crowded, but building rooftops are awesome.

You will see not only pigeons but also you will see monkeys...

Bad monkeys loll... They are thief.. they steal foods...:P :P

I have seen both Old Delhi and New Delhi, New Delhi is modern organized but for me, the air was heavy and hard to breathe.

Delhi city has full of histories, one of the oldest cities, the history of emperor Akbar (Mughal Dynasty), history of the Islamic emperor (Islam Dynasty). Full of historical buildings that represent the history of Delhi.

I went to the railway junction point, one of the biggest junction in India and it was huge. I saw the sky train and metro as well. I saw markets, crowded Bazar and food markets as well.

Delhi is a massive metropolitan city that holds 18.98 million population. The city starts it's day at 6.00 am and goes to bed at 12.00 am. Well, wherever I went I saw people...

You will hardly find privacy for yourself but you will taste amazing foods if you visit Delhi...

By the way, beware of thieves... There are many scammers...
