Survival , Fight for Existence || New Steem

in #steem5 years ago (edited)

Hey everyone , good day...

When I first came on steem blockchain, I felt like it's a sea, looks like limitless with full of mystery. Eventually , a newbie will feel the same way, I can understand their first curiosity to be honest as I was in their place once. Looking for proper guidance , may be a helping hand and want to know where have to go... Full of confusion , questions , isn't it.....

First thing which will come into your mind is how to survive, you don't know anything , you have no idea what's going on in fact nothing except an unknown world for you. Slowly, you start writing a post talking about yourself and take your first step to start your journey. If I compare with the sea, then you are preparing yourself for swimming into the sea.

I discussed about #newsteem and oldsteem several times , positive negative sides , of course I have my own perspectives. But after HF21/ HF22 , now 50-50 rewards pool through me into a deep thought. Because now you are both content creator and curator and to curate post you need steem power. After observing lots of points I have realized it's actually hard job for newbies to survive , in fact they have to think long term and wait for it because right now , they can't curate post because of Voting power.

Current price of steem invite us to buy more steem and invest , power up , so that you can curate posts. Well, I don't have so much knowledge about this entire system or may be I failed to express it. But for newbies , they have to think long term , slowly build themselves....

Now, steemians are divided into different categories based on their stake (Steem Power) like whale , ocra , minnows which defines their investment or their own resources/ wealth. But newbies are known as plankton (15 sp holder I guess), so current #newsteem structure defines that if you want to survive , you have to think long run or you have to invest..I feel like entire structure is kind of game and you have to choose what you want to be.

If you choose to be a content creator , then you have to think long run for your survival. Ya, you have to survive into this deep sea...Slowly slowly you have to build yourself, slowly you have to grow. But I wonder how many people have that much patience to be honest?? Question.... Because most of the newbies loose their interest working here on steem after sometime , may be after 1 month they left..

Right now , I am thinking about my own existence , about how I will survive here.. Should I invest or should I think about long term.. Don't know... After all , it's all about Money game....

I know many of you might not agree with me , you have your own perspective also.. You can share your feedback also.....

YES! Long term is a mental goal we want to achieve. We don't want people coming here and just leeching the system.

Think about curators who power up just to curate all of you. I think they are in a worse position than authors (talking about money) because they don't cash out, they power up. It was a time to shift mentally to long term and give curators the benefits they deserve.

Well, from curator's eye , you are absolutely right.. And ya some came here for short term and left suddenly doing power down.. To be honest I personally don't like this mentality... Everything needs time and specially for newbies , they should build themselves before thinking about rewards... Patience is really important... Thanks @whack.science for stopping by....

Totally agree with that. As someone who has literally ploughed my all into this space for the last two years, I hold a strong sentiment to the value of what it took to get where I am now (and in the grand scheme of things, what I have accumulated is not much).

Yap totally, my example is that I never powered down nor cashed out in a year and 9 months. I am glad that it's appreciated now with 50/50 rewards and I hope others will realize if we want to succeed, we need to think long terms. This is not just on Steem, this is basics of life, from my point of view :D

Could not agree more!

But I wonder how many people have that patience to be honest??

Good question.

I wonder dear to be honest .. Seems like lots of already left .. @jaynie ...
