Well well well, let's see the true nature of Communism and how it relates to the current issues and trends that we are having today.

Communism Explained

Communism, in it's truest form means a classless society, where everyone is equal, there is no private property, and everything is collectively owned or shared. Something like that, of course everybody will define it in a different way, but it's roughly an accurate definition.

Now regardless what Bolshevism, Stalinism or Maoism meant or was supposed to be, of course many leftist denounce those totalitarian ideologies, saying that it was not true Communism. But it did have Communist tenets like: limited or no private property, collectivized farmland, social security, government education and healthcare, central banking, and so forth. So while they are correct that it wasn't a true form of Communism, it did have a lot of resembling characteristics of it.

One issue that they criticized is the presence of a ruling class in the Soviet Union for example, the party, the chairman of the party and so forth. So it was not really a classless society as per their definition. But this is just a practical inconvenience. You can't really organize people into a system with clear rules, that are not natural (like the forced abolition of property), without an organized way. So was the Lenin/Stalin inflicted tyranny inevitable? Probably. Stalin did caused one of the greatest atrocities of the 20th century, a forced famine the Holodomor which was simply caused from the lack of private property. You can't feed yourself, you can't grow your own crops. Now you are dependent on the Government, and the Government will now just let you starve you due to political feud. How similar to Nazism, which also denied property rights to their political enemies, introduced similar measures like Stalin, and caused unimaginable atrocities in the Holocaust.

So regardless of the methods, it looks like extreme collectivism was at the root of every major atrocity in human history, always: be that Genghis Khan or Hitler or Stalin...

Endgame of Communism

So the point of this article is to illustrate the effects of Communism that it has on private property. And since we are interested in the privacy aspects, after all your data is supposedly your private property, and since Communism is against that, it's logical to conclude that in a Communist world there will be no privacy. We are seeing the effects of this today.

There was a theory that sometime 30,000 years ago there existed a "Communist" city in the Mesopotamian region where there was no private property. I don't know whether it was true or not, it doesn't matter in this analogy. Basically people lived in stone houses, but there was no door to the house so anybody could enter anytime and rape your wife for example. In fact it wasn't even rape, since that would imply that she had ownership over her body, but clearly in Communism there is no private property, so her body belongs to the collective and anybody can "use" it. And it wasn't your wife, since that would imply some kind of ownership over her, it was just a woman in the house, that you just had sex with and sometimes a baby would pop out of her, yes it happens sometimes. So there was no private property, everything was shared, even the human body, collective farming, collective defense, collective manufacturing and collective fun (party, orgies ,etc..). It looked like a Communist utopia from the description.

Well we don't know what happened to this Utopian city. They probably all died from STD's or horrible violence broke after the "collective resources" ran out and everyone started hoarding stuff to save themselves. Regardless the city doesn't exist anymore, and it was never again repeated in written history ever since. I wonder why?

Privacy in Communism

So it looks like this is the endgame of Communism, No private property, a transition to collective property, which means:

  • You have no privacy, since "your data" is not your data, it belongs to the collective society
  • You have no ownership over your body, so the collective tells you what you can do with your body
  • You have no money, items, personal belongings, all of it belongs to society
    ..... and so on

So in a Communist society surveillance is not even outrageous, since all data is public, including your thoughts, they will just probably put a chips in people's brains and listen to their thoughts, since it's not theirs anymore.

Of course all items like estate or farmland is by default collectively owned, and there is no money, it's just an equally distributed resource to anyone.

Signs of Communism in 2017

Well if you look around you, you can easily see how they are implementing these things right before our eyes. And it's painful to watch. You can see alarming signs of Communism being implemented:

  • Sex: The leftists all criticize prostitution since it's immoral for a woman to sell their body for money, but have no problem with these sluts that have sex with 200 guys in a week for free. Of course that is voluntary isn't it, but if society pushes this "slut" mentality that you see in the media, then the sexual value of a woman will be 0, so sex will be free eventually. It won't be rape, they are essentially making sex literally free.
  • Surveillance: As I said, there is no privacy in Communism, all data is public. So if a company or a government spies on you, well it's you who gave consent to all of that, when you share your data for free with them. It's not your data anymore, you gave it away for free. It belongs to the collective.
  • No Money: They are rapidly cracking down on cash, and trying to implement a totally controlled financial system. It's not enough that we have 90% Taxes in Europe, they are pushing for Basic Income, a complete Welfare System basically. Essentially total collectivization of all resources and elimination of private property. You won't have control over your money, the bank will have total control over it.
  • No Private Property: They are all making business laws stricter and stricter each year, essentially legislating the owner of a business out of his property. Offshore wealth is getting cracked down, and draconian taxes and penalties are coming for your remaining property.
  • Collectivism: Everything else is getting collectivized as well, like education, healthcare, or even small things like a friend's group. You can't even invite now more than 30 people in your house now before asking for a permit, since it's considered an illegal meeting above that. In short the concept of the individual is being phased out in favor of the collective, and everything is becoming either mandatory or prohibited.
  • No Free Will: When everything has became mandatory or prohibited, then free will ceases to exist. And only a collective monstrosity remains.

THIS IS THE ENDGAME OF COMMUNISM: THE END OF FREE WILL

Thank you for the post.

Communism has always failed, and will continue. The only question is, how many people will it kill before the average person knows that it is not a good idea.

Communes work...
(But then again, any group that has like minded goals works.)

so therefor marxists insist that communism must work.
And what they really mean is that there are people hurting (like homeless, or sick) and we should help them.
But what they really mean is someone else should help them... like the govern-cement

And since they believe that people are poor because others are rich, then it is easy to blame capitalism, and thus go to the (so called) other extreme, communism, where some mystical magical, all knowing, all loving govern-cement takes care of all of its people.

Communes work...
(But then again, any group that has like minded goals works.)

Not even that. It doesn't work.

They say that Communism works on small scale like with 20-30 people. But not even that is true.

I mean it either works or it doesn't. And if it does then it should be scaleable. There is no magical threshold to say that Communism works with 30 people but if you add 1 more person then it falls apart.

It's fundamentally flawed. Even marriage is kind of a socialist relationship based on 2 people, and it mostly doesn't work.

There have been studies after studies showing that marriages where there is no common budget ( each spouse controls his own money) work much better. Or there were studies where they shown that couples that sleep in different rooms have a greater sexual attraction to eachother.

So it doesn't even work for 2 people, then how can you scale it up to 7 billion people. It's much much better if things are accounted for, you have money, you have property to count and keep track of the money, that is how it should be done.

I have convinced my wife that we try this, we are already on separate budget, so there won't be a conflict of interest, since the money belongs to who earns it. This doesn mean that we don't share stuff, but fundamentally speaking private property is necessary to manage things better.
