Beef Kefta Sandwich with Tomato salsa - My lunch for this beautiful Saturday!
What a lovely Saturday on this side of the world!
The sun is out and we are having a nice warm temperature...can't ask for more!
And for our lunch today, my wife prepared some homemade bread and beef ketfas!
With these 2 items we made such a yummy sandwich, let me show it to you!
Bon Appetit if you are eating right now!
The ingredients :
- Beef keftas
- Batbout bread
- Cocktail sauce (mayo and ketchup)
- Lettuces
- Tomato salsa
- Cheddar Cheese
Batbout bread...
The most important ingredient when making a sandwich is the bread...if you get this right, everything will be yummy!
Batbout bread is a classic Moroccan flat bread and my wife cooks it perfectly!
Tomato Salsa
In my tomato salsa, I put tomatoes, onions, mint leaves, basil leaves, gherkins, green olives, salt and olive oil!
So I started by cutting open the bread as you can see below and spread the cocktail sauce on both side!
Add the rest of the ingredients...delicately!!!
Just don't dump everything on the bread...make it with love! Place each element with care!
Start with the lettuces...
Then the beef keftas
Here I break the ketfas a little before placing on the bread...
Top up with the tomato salsa...
Finish it off with freshly grated cheddar...
Close it and enjoy!!!
Et voila ladies and gents...my beef kefta sandwich is ready...
We all had this for lunch couple of minutes ago and was very delicious and so soft just like I love it!
You can add some chili sauce if you want to spice things up!
How did you find this sandwich my friends!?
By the way, you can also make it with lamb kefta...it will be just super yummy!
I wish you all a pleasant day ahead and happy weekend!
Best Regards!
