Eid Delights 2024 : Biryani, Cakes, and Sweet Surprises on the Menu - Part One
Greetings of the day Steemit Iron Chef!!!
I hope you are having a great start of the weekend!
Eid Mubarak to all foodies of SIC!
After 30 days of fasting, we celebrated Eid on Thursday here in Mauritius and here I seize the opportunity to wish all of you and your family a Happy Eid!
And on Eid Day...we had so many different dishes to enjoy whole day long after the morning prayer!
On the previous post on my blog, I shared only 2 photos to let you have an idea, and today I will the different dishes we had included the main dish : Beef Biryani cooked in the traditional cooking pot!
Ps. Expect a lot of cakes and sweets in between the biryani!!!
This post will be in two parts...or else it will be too bulky!
The above photo is the table set by my wife on Eid Day in the morning!!!
This was like our ' golden breakfast' table...full of delicacies!
Cheesecakes...so yummy!!!
We had 2 different cheesecakes on the table : One with Strawberries and the other one with Blueberries!!!
The Traditional Moroccan sweets were present too...
My wife loves baking these delicious sweets and they are always for delicious!
Baklavas and Corne du Gazelles were present!!!
Moroccan Mint Tea...
The tea was served in a special tea pot and glasses specially for Eid!
Beef Biryani for lunch...
This is the tradition and it has been like this always in my family!
On Eid Day we all eat the traditional beef biryani cooked in the special cooking pot!
The dish was also super yummy and it was ordered from a specialist!
Biryani are best enjoyed with the different salads and condiments!!!
