HEARTCHURCH: OUR FOREVER HOME || by @prudent2
MATTHEW 19:16-30
In those British property and home programes on television like Location, Location, when people find a home they really like, they say "This is our forever home". This statement shows a total lack of understanding about the fate of mankind and what is in store for this present earth.
There will never be such a thing like a "Forever Home" on earth. Even the most beautiful home will not last into aternity. No matter how well the house is build or modern it is, it is destined to age, wax old and ultimately be destroyed by fire.
The Apostle Peter confirms this in 2 Peter 3:10, "But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, the heavens will disappear with a roar, the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be let bare".
There is only going to be one forever home. We are promised this eternal home by God Himself in His pure promises contained in the Bible, God's Holy and revealed Word.
This eternal home will not require any maintenance, as it will never age, rust, deteriorate or break. It is built to eternity by the Master Builder Himself, our Creator, God.
When we abide in this heavenly home, we will never suffer loss, grief, illness or pain . Everything will be made new. Jesus said, when the world is made new, and the Son of Man sits upon His glorious throne, then His people will enjoy the wonderful eternal life and the truly eternal, forever home we seek.
PRAYER :
Our Heavenly Father, thank You for preparing a place for us, an eternal home of righteousness and peace. Help us to remain faithful to You, so we will dwell in this eternal home forever, in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
EVENING READING :JOHN 14:1-6.
Then Jesus said to them, ‘Do not let yourselves be sad and afraid. Believe God, and believe me also.
There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I would not tell you this if it was not true. And I will go now so that I can prepare a place for you.
After I have prepared a place for you, I will return. I will take you so that you will be with me. So then you will be where I am.
You know the way to the place where I will go.’
Thomas said to him, ‘ Lord, we do not know where you will go. So how can we know the way to get there?’
Jesus answered, I am the way. I am what is true. And I am the life. Nobody comes to the Father except by me.
