The Diary Game: Waking Up Early To Prepare For Lectures But Ended Up Going Late(07/02/2025)

Hello my beautiful people of Steem Cameroon, how are you all doing? I believe all is well with you all. I've really missed you guys, it feels like it's been ages but I'm grateful to be here again with you all.

I still remain your favorite steemian with the Steemit username @purpleidy23. I have a lot to gist you guys about but I think I should focus on today's own, I wish I can compress everything that happened while I was away on this platform into a very short and interesting story but since I can't, let me stick to that of today. There might be a contest where I'd be allowed to share my stories of past events and I'll bring them on.

Life lately has been good and I thank God for His grace upon me and strength to face each day with enthusiasm. Today started out quite well as I woke up early and prepared for the task that lies ahead of me.

Waking up early has never been my thing but I've been striving lately to get up early because of my new status as a student in the tertiary institution. I woke up early, did my morning chores and prepared something for breakfast. When I was done with breakfast, I had my bath and hurriedly stepped out to school as I was behind time.

The class was scheduled for 9am (Nigerian time) but I arrived at school by 9:45am, I strolled down to counselling centre where we were supposed to have the lectures and luckily for me, the lecturer wasn't in school yet. I smiled and did a cross sign with gratitude to God for saving me from missing today's lecture.

The counseling center was filled with my course mates and there was no convenient place for me to sit. I just squeezed myself into the available spot I saw and within few minutes the lecturer arrived. He apologized for coming late stating that he was supervising our senior colleagues who were writing their examination today. The class lasted for only twenty minutes and he left though he gave us an assignment.

When the lecturer left, we sat there waiting for the the right time so we can depart to the venue for the next class. While we were still waiting, some group of people walked in, introduced themselves and the purpose that made them approach us. Since I wasn't interested in their discussion, I stepped aside and let others who were interested pay attention. Few minutes into the conversation, they started argue about some biblical topics which almost drew me to join and share my thoughts on the topic but I decided to still ignore.

A few moment later, I began to fill hungry. I couldn't wait to eat the breakfast I prepared, I just had few scoops and left because I was already late for class and since vendors were around, I beckon on one and she brought her product. I bought something to snack on and continued listening to those guys conversation since my friend wasn't in school, I just had to maintain my lane and not look for trouble, instead I went online and began chatting with few friends who were online and one of them asked that we meet and I obliged.

After some hours of waiting for the next class, our course representative came and announced that the next class has been cancelled, while some were happy and left, some were unhappy and started grumbling and I didn't actually blame them because most of us came from a distant location so paying transport to School and not do anything at the end is something to grumble about.

Since there was no lectures again for the day, I left to the venue where my friend and I agreed to meet. On arriving there, my friend wasn't there so I had to wait for her to show up and she was 30 minutes late. Yes, I checked time but I actually forgot to tell you that you were late @jemilatbuhari. She arrived few moments later and we ordered for something to keep our mouths busy with. We talked about so many things and later had to go home because it was getting late.
