Lunch Break at Warung Pencar
Yesterday, I went to have lunch in a small restaurant called Pencar, in Bali, Indonesia. The menu available there were Balinese style sea food, Chinese food, and chicken fried or grilled. A numerous selection of vegetables, and desserts were also available.
The restaurant is valled Warung Pencar.
For meal, I chose grilled calamari (Balinese style), plecing kangkung or steamed kangkung which is a kind of vegetables grown in water, (ometimes also referred as water spinach0, and fish soup.
Fish soup look tasty.
A friend ordered grilled sea fish, which is also very tasty.
It's my plecing kangkung.
Grilled calamari with sambal.
And my favourite meal was the grilled fish, even though I did not order it. A friend of mine chose it as his main meal. He gave me some to try.
The fish soup had a mix taste, spicy hot and a little bit sweet. I found this quite odd, but it was all right. I still like it.
The plecing kangkung is very common meal in Bali or Indonesia. So, it something that I had to have to balance between the meat and vegetables. But don't get me wrong, i like plecing kangkung very much.
The grill calamari was quite all right with Balinese style of sambal.
When I go there again, I would definitely would choose the grilled fish.
Thanks for reading.
