This picture I took in the middle of summer. Temperatures the day before had been around 35 degrees centigrade!

Its not what it seems
This is hail! It lay in places as deep as 150 mm. That is 6 inches!
It hit the Eastern side of Pretoria, one of our major cities, breaking windows, flooding houses and tearing trees and plants to bits!
These guys of ours were smart and did a duck before it hit!

Well he is just one huge, enormous, mighty, massive, majestic, Monitor lizard that decided to waddle over to see what our place looked like!
