Hey my guys, how has your day been? It's been a very sunny afternoon here in my State and we are all enjoying it because the rain has really had the better part of last week so, the sunny weather is a welcomed desire.
I welcome you once again to my blog.

We are in Steemkids today and you are going to be seeing how I care about my home.

INTRODUCTION

Cleanliness they say is next to godliness. Apart from we being happy with ourselves, God is always happy whenever He finds us and our surroundings neat. Remember, He does not dwell in a dirty environment.

When I talk of caring for my home, I mean, the things I do to keep my home sparkling clean, Smelling fine and satisfying. Let's go!

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY HOME?

My family and I stay in a two bedroom flat. A rented apartment very comfortable for a family of six. We enjoy our space because my children and I try to give it the satisfying touch it deserves.
We do this by;
💚 Sweeping everywhere including the compound.
💚 Washing dishes.
💚 Washing clothes.
💚 Mopping the floor.
💚 Cleaning the toilet and bathroom and disinfecting them.
💚 Dressing up the bed.

We do all these to remove dirt and germs so our home will be free from any form of diseases and contermination.

WHEN DO I DO THESE?

💚 My first daughter sweeps the floor every morning. And either of us can also sweep it anytime we notice it is dirty or Sandy. But we do a thorough sweeping on Saturdays. We sweep more than three times daily. Trust Children when they play.
💚 We (my husband and I) dress our bed each time we wake up in the morning... this depends on the last person that woke up. The children take care of theirs too. They also make sure it's well organized each time they finished playing on it.
💚 My daughter do the dishes whenever we finished eating and takes care of the kitchen anytime I finished cooking.
💚 Mopping the floor comes every Saturday. That's if we don't find it dirty at any point.
💚 Arranging every part of the house comes daily. Where you have kids, you cannot trust for the house to remain the same way always. I make them arrange things whenever it's not good to me. I do the ones I can too like my husband's things.
💚 We wash clothes any time the electricity company restores the light because we wash with machine. Trusting them to give light when you need to wash can be disastrous therefore, we wash each time they restore it; unless there's no cloth to wash.
💚 Cleaning the toilet and bathroom comes mostly on Saturdays but I can do a quick wash when I find it dirty and unsatisfactory.

THINGS I USE IN CLEANING MY HOME AND WHAT THEY COST.

To keep my home as clean as I want it, there are things I use.
They are:

1. Broom;

The most important thing that help me have a clean home is the broom. We use it for all sweeping in and around the house. A broom is sold for #100 - 1 Steem in my State and I replace it with a new one any time it's old.

2 ) Detergent;

The next is detergent. This is used to remove dirt from surfaces. We use in mopping, washing of clothes, dishes, cleaning of the bathroom and toilet. It cost me #400 - 4 steem equivalent to get a roll of Viva detergent - 20g( 6pieces). Ibuy in small quantities because any time I get the large size, my children waste it all.

3 ) Izal;

This serves as a disinfectant for me. We add it to water whenever we are to mop the house or clean up the toilet, wash the bathroom. I also use it as odour control. Atimes we use detol when it gets finished just as you can see... it's almost finishing. I produce it myself.

4 ) Stain Removal like Hypo;

This kills germs. Mainly for bathroom and toilet, then, for removal of stubborn stains on our clothes. My product too
To produce these ( disinfectant and stain removal), I buy the chemicals from the market,then, follow a procedure to get a good result. When you have a family, you try of means to maximize opportunities there by reducing expenses. This helps my family so much. With the way things are in this country, one has to be wise in spending. I sometimes produce liquid soap, that way, buying of detergent and washing soap reduces.

HOW DO YOU FEEL WHEN YOU HAVE CARED ABOUT YOUR HOME THE WAY YOU WANT?

I feel happy when I see my home as clean as I would want it. I feel satisfied, relaxed and joyful knowing my family and I are safe as we live in a healthy environment. Not just inside alone,we also need grasses around the compound.

DO YOU SOMETIMES FORGET TO CARE FOR YOUR HOME? WHAT RESULTS WHEN YOU NEGLECT THAT RESPONSIBILITY?

Yes, I do. I am a teacher as well as engage in other personal business. Atimes, work and duties becomes too much for me and my daughter. We default in some duties. Doing assignments and so much can make her not finish other duties like washing the dishes, the, it will be carried over to other time. Electricity restoration can make me abandon things when I have to take care of piled clothes. So, I'm not always happy when I see that we couldn't meet up with duties.

BENEFITS OF CARING FOR OUR HOME.

Because I always want to see my family happy, satisfied, healthy and safe, I have to do everything it takes to achieve it. It also makes my visitors comfortable and free. To crown it all, God will be Happ with me.

DO ANYONE ASSIST YOU TO CARE ABOUT YOUR HOME?

Yes, my daughter, Amarachi helps me out do things around the house. She's my niece who stays with me but I see and treat her as a daughter. My own children do atimes too.
My son will be 6years by October. He's duty is to sweep and arrange the balcony every morning or anytime it's dirty. He can also sweep the sitting room. Though not very well but manageable.

SUMMARY
Being a mother, wife, worker, a hustler is not easy at all. But what can one do? We will continue to do our best. The benefits are plenty; for us, the visitors, and family. We will keep doing the duty of keeping our home clean and neat. Let's steem on!
