Hey everyone. Greetings to all of us here. This is my first time posting in this community and I'm glad you will be reading my post.
I know you guys are doing great and bubbling too.

The Steemit Challenge has come to stay and I am also delighted to be a part of it. This topic we have is a very practical and it's something all of us engage in every now and then. To tackle this topic in ADVICE, I will want to look at it through the organised questions listed by the organizers of this contest.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ADVICE IS FOR, IS IT REALLY NECESSARY?

We all know what an advice is but for the sake of the question, let's give a little explanation of what it is.
An advice, according to the Oxford Advanced English Dictionary, is an opinion or a suggestion about what somebody should do in a particular situation.
Advice to any human being is very necessary unless in a situation where the individual make it point clear that he/she doesn't want. If not, it is very important to give advice when the situation arises.

Every human being at one point or another, deserves help. In the sense that, he/she may need it for life decisions (career), business, etc. It can actually save a soul or situation from escalating.

WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE YOU HAVE RECEIVED, WHO GAVE IT TO YOU?

Sometimes, advice comes from people we do not respect; thereby disregarding it. A single right advice, can make or mar one depending on how much you take it.
I was once a Socialite. You may not understand what I mean but just understand it that I love doing what makes me happy...I still do though but not as it used to.

When I was preparing for my wedding, my eldest sister knowing who I was very well sat me down. She made me understand that marriage is not a bed of roses and I must be ready to take in 'pills' and give up somethings to make it work and one is my social life. As in, monitor the friends I keep, where I go, things I do and how I talk. She made me understand that life as a married woman is not as librial as being single... which I now believe. She told me NEVER to 'bring in' a third party to our home/ decisions.

TO WHOM DO YOU REGULARLY TURN TO FOR ADVICE?

Advice is not what one takes anyhow even though every advice is meant to be sieved ... you remove the unnecessary points and take the important ones. As humans, we are not meant to do things anyhow. And being a Nigeria, where we live a communal life style...our family, friends and neighbours matters too. We go to people for advice when we think we are in a crossroad in order to help us make better choices. Opinions of our families, friends or people we trust comes to play in some things we do. So, the advice one gets or worked with is determined by how much that person is trusted or is learnered in that field.

Me, I don't take advice from one person. I go to different people but that depends on what situation I want to solve. I have different mentors...career, spiritual, emotional, and so on. So, who I turn to for advice at a particular time depends on the issue bothering me. Otherwise, I talk to my God when I think I haven't gotten a satisfactory response...Holy Spirit is the best adviser.

DO YOU GIVE OR RECEIVE ADVICE?

By virtue of my position as a mother, teacher, and business woman, I have Children: both biological and relationship wise that look up to me for advice, direction and tutorship...so, YES, I give advice.
Even as an adult, it's expected of me to advice anyone who's going contrary to the right part, especially Children and
Teens. I owe it to my conscience and the society at large as a patriotic Nigerian.
It's not only the Young ones that are adviced, adults too. Therefore, I can also accept good advice no matter who dishes it because I know there are young p eople that are intelligent and God can still use them to talk to me

WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE YOU HAVE RECEIVED ON STEEMIT, WHO GAVE IT TO YOU AND WHAT HAS IT HELPED YOU WITH?

There was a season that many people were leaving STEEMIT; powering down and I was seriously discouraged and wanted to join them but my sister in-love, @ruthjoe advised me to stay although I know the final decision is mine to make...I was offline for few months but as you can see, I'm still here
My Mama @ngoenyi also advised me to be active in here comment on the post above...here it is...

It has not been easy but God is my strength. Those advice has made me to stay put and focus on learning and contributing to other people's growth not just in the aspect of making miney. I'm glad am doing the much I can to be active too.

In conclusion, it's important that we know whom our advice is going to because many can turn an advice against the advicer. Make sure that what you say is well understood and will not be used against you now or later.
And please,in case the advice you have given to someone let to a negative result because it was misunderstood, it shouldn't stop you from doing good... you never can tell if another's life is to be saved by that your single advice. Continue in the good work and your reward will come in due time. Just be good and patient.
