Work in Progress - Detail Shot
First of all, Happy New Year! May 2019 be prosperous for us all. Here's hoping the world gets sick and tired of being fleeced by banks and embraces cryptocurrency, making us all wealthy early investors. That would be alright. Then I could afford real estate in my lifetime.
Yesterday, I took more out of this piece than I put in. I decided partway through that I didn't like the composition of the arms or the throne behind, or the skirt part of the dress. I took them out completely, so that I could put new parts in. What I did work on more constructively was the ruff. Lots of tiny little lines and faint bits of shading in and around all the folds.
Today we have Belleville-ville. It's the first day of 1980, so I'm going to go crazy with some shoulder pads and side-ponytails. Until then, I may have a bit of time to do some work. We'll see. I think Mikey is planning on a videogame day for himself. Lots of fun things to do already in 201980.
