Beyond McMindfulness
Regarding industrial mindfulness as a secular commoditised technique:
"...Buddhists differentiate between Right Mindfulness (samma sati) and Wrong Mindfulness (miccha sati)... even a person committing a premeditated and heinous crime can be exercising mindfulness, albeit wrong mindfulness. Clearly, the mindful attention and single-minded concentration of a terrorist, sniper assassin, or white-collar criminal is not the same quality of mindfulness that the Dalai Lama and other Buddhist adepts have developed."
Mindfulness is not enough!

Mindfulness for me is the ability of a person to stay calm & collected 👍
On the one hand, that's wonderful.
On the other, it is a translation of a technical word (Sati) from the Pali language with a very specific meaning. Like all words, it would lose that meaning if we all gave it our individual interpretation.
But again, calm and collected is marvellous! :)
Which technical definition for the word "Mindfulness" (Sati) do you use?
