Is it wrong to love Jesus more than God?
Jesus is God, No matter how much you love Jesus, so you love God too. Best of all, though:
No matter how much you love someone, in that love, you love Jesus. Jesus is the complete and true union of man with God, the perfect reconciliation of mankind with God. And whatever you do to even the little people, that's what you do to Him.
And so to God.
It's amazing, when you think about it. God did not want us to love God in any way. Because God loved the world so much, God wanted to descend to our level and walk in our path of suffering, making it easier for us to reach ourselves. God could have lived forever without being touched by an invincible throne. God wanted it to be intact. God has given us Himself, in the form of Christ, to know that God communicates with us personally through what we go through, as one of us, so that we can communicate with God in a new way. Jesus tell us to call The God our Father, and so should we. But in Christ, God is also our brother, and all our people - all people - are brothers and sisters.
Even our worst enemies. Even those who believe what we hate, or who live the way we do. We should love them. And we can. We have the power to love them. God's love is there for us; God gives all power. Better yet: we should not judge them. We know, gladly we know, blessed we know not; it would be useless and useless for us! They have the best judges: God has already judged them. God's judgment on them is a finished work. It's called. It is called Jesus Christ.
God has judged all people worthy of salvation. God has judged that we must be saved. God came down, humbled Himself by human nature and human judgment and was sentenced to death. Three days later… very human judgment. Too much death. Believe in this, that Christ died to redeem us from death, and we are saved. Good news.
It is almost impossible for the human mind to comprehend the awesome power of God's love for us. But in Jesus, God has given us a friend, a brother, a teacher and an example. A person whose name can surely guide us in our dealings with others, in our dealings with them, and in our relationship with God. Man's life cannot be imitated in detail, indeed, but we can live in harmony with the spirit. And that is part of the point. We do not have to die on the cross for mankind. We have to manage our own, which is part of the process. He was a sacrifice, so we do not have to be. He’s going to be a judge, so we don’t have to be that way. Good news.
You cannot love Jesus more than God. Impossible. Jesus is God, and the living proof of God's love for us. It is only natural to love her deeply. That's why God did it. To love God in the person you see.
