Prambanan Temple One of Masterpieces of Stacked Stone Art
Stone piled alias art of composing stone or rock balancing art had horrendous Indonesia in the last two months. However, actually from where the art of compiling this pile of stones began?
According to the founder of Balancing Art Indonesia Community, Suryadi, stacked masonry art has actually existed since the era of baheula.
"The name is stacked stone, since ancient times in Indonesia has been there," said residents Imogiri District, Bantul District, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) it.
One proof of that art is a masterpiece of Prambanan Temple located in Sleman District, Yogyakarta. The existence of the temple is the most visible symbol of the art of stacking stones or stones.
In modern times, the art of composing stone was introduced by Michel Grab in Italy, around the decade of the 90's. Then spread to Asian countries, such as Japan, China, then Indonesia.
In Indonesia itself is currently just a scene. After the incident in West Java, the phenomenon of the pile of rocks in the river. Precisely in the flow of Cibojong River, Jayabakti Village, District Cidahu, Sukabumi District, West Java, early February.
Because of attracting the attention of the people there, local officials had collapsed piles of rocks in the river. However, reportedly has begun to work in the form of tourism. "This is also a form of campaign for environmental sustainability as well," said Suryadi.
According to him, there is a philosophy in the art balancing. The reason is in the preparation of these stones, requires maximum concentration, the level of patience, and high sensitivity. To find a zero point or point between the end of the stone with another stacked stone.
The mood of a balancer must be at a comfortable moment, and as sincere as someone who is doing meditation. "Elements, breathing, patience, emotional control, that's a solid foundation," he said.
After going through the stages of the process, a balancer also from the technical side will be more honed. He no longer thinks of the results of making art balancing art, but rather enjoy every step that is done.
He cited his experience around 2013. At that time, he was alone in a river, making rock balancing.
"I thought crazy people, new toys in the river, and I wanted to grab a camera, some people throw rocks (rock balancing), yes it collapsed all the way back in there, collapsed. emotional control should be how, "he said.
Suryadi feels that not everyone accepts that stones are stacked an art and are considered toys. He also slowly started making it again from scratch, and then photographed.
"I am a photograph of various angles, Ngopo nesu (ngapain cranky with people who throw stones), for example there are people I am angry because they can not read, what wise," he said.
Moreover, everyone has limitations. Understanding that has not been understood, he better try to provide education by way of prove that it is an art. "After knowing that I am engrossed with photographs, finally the person understands that it is an art," he said.
Another philosophy of gravity, continued the man who is also a royal court palace of Yogyakarta, rock balancing is formed from two lines between the vertical and horizontal. "Vertical describes between man and his God," he said.
While horizontal between the universe with the human itself. "From top to bottom (human) is zero, so horizontally, the human being is zero, the zero point is it.We are zero.As great as any human being, should introspection not arrogant, find a simple attitude," he concluded.
