My favorite possession- my garden, my flowers- Weekly photography challenge #2

I fancy buying a garden more than a house. In a combination of both, my 70% area should be for the garden. I am such an avid gardener.

I usually grow certain herbs and flowers. Flowers are life. Without flowers, you can not feel the subtle touch of nature.

Life is colorless without flowers. The flowers with their colors and fragrance invite many other interesting bugs to my garden. Although it is very difficult to catch them in a frame without a professional photographer.

So today I would share some of the beautiful photographs/shots of some flowers that I have grown in my garden and they are the best possession for me.

English is not my native language, so I won't be able to tell you the biological family of these flowers.

The local soil is black cotton soil and the exposure is the hot humid climate at this moment. We are already into mid-summer here. So most of the flowers and plants may die going into end-summer. So the flowers I am sharing are into their last stage and they will bloom again in the rainy season.

Depending upon a climatic condition, the suitability of a flowering plant is chosen and accordingly taken care of.

This one is from Celosia family I guess. But whatever it is, looks beautiful. It feels like a velvet flower when you touch it and hence some call it a red velvet flower. My kids love this flower so much.

The second one is a "gendu"(Hindi name) flower and is the most common and easily grown flower and you can find this everywhere across India. Very less maintenance required for this plant to grow.

I am sharing the third one, some call it Epidendrum, but I am not sure, but I love the deep red color, aahhhh..that's really beautiful and they always bloom in clusters.

The fourth one is a kind of ever-green flower for me. They are bell-shaped, golden-yellowish in colors and improves the aesthetic of my garden.

I am also planning to grow some trees near the boundary so that the air quality will improve. I feel that my garden and the flowers boost my confidence and I always feel positive when I see them around.

So I am closing here, I hope you like the shots that I have shared here and last but not the least, this is my entry to the weekly photography challenge #2 organized by @steemitblog.
