Few things you didn’t pay much attention 🤯

We are currently living very busy lives. So even though we see things, we don't care about them that much. So today in this article I will present to you some of the things that you often see in daily life but do not pay much attention to.

01. Little stickers on fruits

We don’t care much about the little label on the fruit. But we can learn few things about that fruit from the label. From this label we can see the country where the fruit is produced and its producer. But most people do not know what the numbers on the label mean.

If the label has four numbers and the first number is 3 or 4, it indicates that it has been treated with pesticides. If the label has five numbers and the first number is 9, that indicates that it is organically grown. If five numbers on the label and the first number on the label is 8, it means that it has been genetically modified.

02. Doughnut/donut hole

Even when we hear the name donuts, our mouths water. There is hardly anyone who has not eaten donuts. Everyone knows there's a hole in the middle of this. But do you know why that hole came to it?

Even though we still eat this, this snack is something that has been around for hundreds of years. One of the main problems bakers had in the past was that when they baked theese snacks, the whole and middle of the snack did not bake evenly. As a solution to this they came up with this idea. Since then donuts have a hole.

03. Sunglasses

You all know about sunglasses. We are using them to protect our eyes from the heavy sunlight, to make it easier for a driver to drive in sunlight or for fashion. But were sunglasses really made just for that?

These sunglasses were first used by the Arctic people. They used these sunglasses to protect themselves from the frequent small and large snowstorms and travel during those times. These became very popular among Chinese judges in the 12th century. That is to hide their feelings from the witnesses.

04. Notebook Margin

We can see notebook margin in every book. Modern purpose of this is to use as a space for teachers' outraged notes. But is this the real purpose of that?

In the past, a lot of books became a victims to rats. They mainly ate edges of books. As a result, valuable documents became unusable. As a solution to this, people in the past started writing by leaving a small part from the edge of the page when writing in books. This is why todays books have a margin.

05. Holes in Padlocks

We all use padlocks to protect our personal belongings. To lock things, especially doors and gates. As a result, they are exposed to rain and sun and become unusable. The key comes to the point where the key cannot be inserted to the padlock. When that happens we will remove them and get new ones.

But did you know if we put some engine oil to those little holes in the padlock, padlock become reusable and can easily insert padlock key in to it.

I think you may have learned something important from this. Have a nice day everyone.
