Shringeri Temple

I got the chance to visit the Shringeri Sharadamba Temple in Shringeri near Udupi, Karnataka. The temple was so architecturally beautiful and if Hindu mythology this place is considered very sacred as this place is where a snake hooded as an umbrella to protect a frog from hot Sun while the frog was giving birth. This was also the first place where Sankara is believed to have established one of the four major mutts. If you visit India, Do visit this place as it holds several architectural marvels as well as many interesting stories.
