The Eurasian nuthatch or wood nuthatch (Sitta europaea)

Noisy, fast, elusive. Here's what you can say about these funny guys.
It is very interesting to watch them, since they allow you to do this at close range, and are not at all afraid of people. And in some cases, for example in city parks, they are completely tamed.

It is especially funny when they sit on people passing by and beg for a treat. But the most funny thing is when they take this treat from peoples hands, and try to hide in gloves or pockets😄 I have had this more than once. A nuthatch grabs a seed and hid it in the folds on my glove and hat.

Back to the photo. In the 2nd photo you see how this dude found someone's cache of food, and in the 3rd photo he tried to re-hide this cache. I heard that they have a good memory and they remember their caches, but most likely this is nothing more than a rumor, and probably he found his own cache.
